Who We Are
The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is a public-private partnership of approximately 100 business and civic leaders in the commercial hub of North Houston. We're trusted by Fortune 1000 companies, site selectors, and corporate real estate executives who rely on our expertise and responsiveness.
Rather than create its own economic development department, The Woodlands, Texas outsourced that role to the EDP in 1997, enabling efficient private sector partnerships and regional collaboration. That model has since expanded to include the nearby cities of Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North, as well as Montgomery County. As The Woodlands evolves into the commercial hub of one of the fastest growing counties in the US, the EDP is expanding its scale and scope while respecting the boundaries and authority of our neighbors.
